LIMERICK people with green fingers are urged to enter their front garden in this year’s Limerick’s Most Beautiful Front Garden Competition.

As part of the annual Going for Gold campaign, the Council is looking to find the most beautiful front garden in Limerick, sponsored by the Parkway Shopping Centre.

The competition was launched at the Council’s Medieval Garden in Merchant’s Quay by Mayor Gerald Mitchell.

He said: “Gardening is good for our well-being and provides valuable pockets of habitat for wildlife throughout our city and county. When a garden is visible from a public road it also brightens our community.”

Application forms are available from the Parkway Shopping Centre and Limerick City and County Council’s customer services, or online at Limerick.ie.
