ONE OF Ireland’s top wind ensembles will play a special concert in Limerick early next month.

The Irish Youth Wind Ensemble, Ireland’s premier wind ensemble, led by artistic director Ronan O’Reilly, will be performing a concert on Sunday August 6 at 3pm in the Redemptorist Church in Limerick City.

The talented young musicians will be performing a selection of music specifically written for wind bands, as well as presenting a unique repertoire of classical and contemporary works including music by Gustav Holst, Michael Sweeney, Warren Barker, Serge Lancen, and Bert Appermont.

Tickets for the concerts are €20 (with €10 concessions) and will be available on the door.
