Limerick hostelries toasted in Bar of the Year Awards

LIMERICK looks set to be the toast of the town at this year’s Bar of the Year Awards, with 10 bars from across Limerick heading to the grand final.

The Clayton Hotel in Limerick is nominated in the Hotel Bar of the Year category, while The Savoy Bar at the Savoy Hotel and the Tack Room at Adare Manor have both been nominated in the Five Star Hotel Bar of the Year category.

House Limerick has been nominated for the Restaurant Bar of the Year, while Jerry Flannery’s & 1314 is nominated for City Bar of the Year.

The Innovative Bar of the Year saw Mother Macs nominated, while in the Local Bar of the Year category, Off the Bone Gastropub in Raheen was nominated.

Jerry Flannery’s and 1314 got the nod again in the Best Bar to Watch the Match in category, while Amber Nightclub was nominated in the Late Bar / Nightclub of the Year category.

The Old Quarter was nominated in the Best Live Entertainment Bar category.

The Cocktail Bar of the Year category also saw Limerick nominations, Jerry Flannery’s and 1314, and The Tack Room at Adare Manor.

The Locke was nominated in the Outside Space of the Year category, while the Savoy Bar at the Savoy Hotel was nominated again in the category of Gin Bar of the Year.

The Tack Room at Adare Manor got another nod for the Whiskey Bar of the Year category.

Mother Macs was again nominated for Craft Bar of the Year.

The awards, which aim to showcase the crème de la crème of the bar industry, received over 600 submissions this year.

According to the Bar of the Year Awards website: “These individuals and venues have consistently raised the bar, delivering unparalleled experiences and pushing boundaries within the industry.”

The final of the Bar of the Year Awards will be held in Dublin in August.
