Limerick families to get funding from Children’s Rights Alliance

FAMILIES in Limerick facing the cost of living crisis have been given a welcome boost following funding of €23,000 from the Children’s Rights Alliance (CRA).

The funding was provided by the CRA to local charity Extern, who work with children, young people, and families facing homelessness, mental health issues, and the impact of suicide.

The funding has allowed Extern to distribute supermarket vouchers to families experiencing acute need.

“This generous funding from the Children’s Rights Alliance has had a hugely positive impact on the families we work with, many of whom might otherwise find it hard to ask for help,” said Extern manager Clare O’Connor.
