A NUMBER of blood donation clinics will be held across Limerick throughout the coming week.
The clinics come as the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) attempts to bolster the national stock amid rising demands from hospitals and the health service.
According to the IBTS, current hospital blood demands stand at almost 6 per cent higher than this time last year.
The first clinic will take place today (Thursday August 10) from 4.50pm to 8.10pm in Coláiste Iósaef in Kilmallock.
