LIMERICK people are the most reliable in Ireland when it comes to showing up for jury duty.

That’s according to a report published on news website BreakingNews.ie, which claimed that only three percent of people called for jury service throughout Limerick failed to attend without a valid reason across last year.

People in County Waterford were deemed the least likely to appear for their civic duty, with four out of every 10 summoned reported as not showing up.

At a national level, it was reported that 18,000 people across Ireland failed to attend for jury duty in 2022 without a valid reason.
