Limerick students to represent county at national competition

Limerick's WorldSkills participants who will take part in a national event at Dublin's RDS.

SIX Limerick students will represent the county at Worldskills Ireland this September.

The competition will see more than 160 national finalists compete across a range of skills-based categories, with the winner going on to represent the country in Lyon, France, next year.

Competing from Limerick are Bhavya Guar and Michael Svirydav (Cybersecurity), Michael Ryan (Industrial Control), and Dean Cooke, Shaun Maloney, and Dylan O’Donaghue (Metal Fabrication).

Worldskills Ireland, Ireland’s largest experiential skills, apprenticeships, and careers event, will take place in the RDS, Dublin, from September 20 to 22.
