AFTER a hefty six-week break, action resumes in the Irish Wire Products Limerick Senior Football Championship this weekend.

The competition is split into two groups of six from which three will emerge from each for the knock-out stages.

In Group One, holders Newcastle West can make it three wins on the trot with an anticipated defeat of Claughaun in Askeaton on Sunday (1pm).

Elsewhere in the Group, pacesetters Kildimo/Pallaskenry can sneak a victory over St Kieran’s at the same venue the previous evening (7pm), while Fr Casey’s are tipped to account for Oola in Croagh (6pm).
