LIMERICKโ€™S Locke Bar was the toast of the town at the recent Bar of the Year awards.

Held in Dublinโ€™s Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, the awards celebrate the cream of the crop in the Irish bar and pub scene.

The Locke Bar, based on Georgeโ€™s Quay in the city centre, swooped no less than three awards, including the Peopleโ€™s Choice Award (Overall), the Peopleโ€™s Choice Award (Munster), and a runner-up position in the Tourist Bar of the Year category.

Elsewhere, 1314 at Jerry Flanneryโ€™s, of Catherine Street, took home the bronze in the Nightclub of the Year category.
