FINE Gael councillor Daniel Butler welcomed the installation of a new bus shelter in Mungret by the Council’s Active Travel team as part of overall measures to support increased public transport use.

“I have been working hard to see this delivered since last year and I am delighted to see it in place.”

“It will offer people, especially older members of our community, shelter in the winter months and a place to sit while waiting.”

“For some it may seem like a small thing but this is an important piece of infrastructure that supports the community to stay connected with the city,” Cllr Butler said.

“With the housing estates coming out to meet the village now, getting these in place is important.”
