KILMALLOCK are through to the semi-final of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship following a thrilling 2-22 to 2-20 win over Patrickswell in Cappamore.
The 12-time winners are now unbeaten in four starts and, irrespective of the closing round result against holders Na Piarsaigh, are guaranteed a semi berth.
In their latest outing, themselves and the ‘Well – who were level on eight occasions – served up easily the best action of Championship 2023 to date with a goal late-on from the ageless Graeme Mulcahy proving the decisive score.
A couple of goals from Aaron Gillane had Patrickswell 2-11 to 1-11 ahead at the interval.
Elsewhere in the top flight, JJ Carey goaled at the outset of the second-half for Na Piarsaigh in a 1-21 to 1-13 defeat of Ahane at Claughaun.
The positive result will likely earn the defending champions a last four berth.
In Group Two, the winners between Monaleen and Mungret St Paul’s will likely join Ballybrown in the knock-out stages.
