
THE Department of Housing, Local Government, and Heritage issued a letter of approval for Councilโs Affordable Housing Fund application for 19 cost rental units at Sonnyโs Lands at Athlunkard Street/St Maryโs Church junction.
Green Party councillor Saลกa Novak Uรญ Chonchuair welcomed this funding allocation, saying “the development at Sonnyโs Corner will be transformative for the area.”
“By bringing affordable living options to the city centre, we are not just creating homes, we are creating vibrant communities, supporting local businesses, and contributing to the revitalisation of Nicholas Street and its surrounding areas.
“The cost rental model has been a Green Party goal for a very long time and I am delighted that we will see this model delivered in Limerick,” the Green Party councillor added.

- Cavity Walls: Up to โฌ1,700 Grant
- Internal Dry Lining: Up to โฌ4,500 Grant
