THE Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO) opens its autumn/winter season with a touring programme offering snapshots from Italy performing in the Limerick’s University Concert Hall on September 21.
The Italian voyage sees the ICO teaming up with celebrated UK conductor Christian Curnyn and two of Ireland’s finest singers Sharon Carty and Anna Devin to perform Pergolesi’s emotive โStabat Materโ.
Also featuring are works from Respighi, Puccini, and Van Wassenaer.
The orchestra is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and is resident at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.
