STUDENTS from Limerick’s Munster Martial Arts travelled to Belfast this month to compete in the European Tang Soo Do Federation’s International Championships, with the Limerick team winning a remarkable 52 medals at the tournament.
The Treaty City club brought home 24 gold, 16 silver, and 12 bronze medals.
On top of this, senior black belt student Con Fitzgibbon won the Grand Champion Trophy at the competition for being the best overall black belt competitor.
Con is believed to be the first Irish man to achieve this accolade.
