Limerick athletes represent Ireland at European Masters Athletics Championships

A COUPLE of locals will be involved at the European Masters Athletics Championships in Pescara, Italy, at the weekend.

Newcastle West’s Ger Cremin will represent Ireland in the 110m Hurdles and 4x400m.

Cremin, who is attached to An Ríocht AC (Castleisland, County Kerry), recently broke the long-standing national record for the 110m Hurdles with a run of 16.21 at the National Finals in Tullamore, County Offaly.

In-form Shane O’Sullivan (Dooneen AC) will partake in the 400m and in both the men’s and mixed relay events.
