Drugs seizure after raid in Limerick City

Gardaí in Limerick seized an amount of suspected cannabis worth an estimated €7,140.

GARDAÍ in Limerick have seized more than €7,000 worth of suspected cannabis following a search of a house in the Roxboro area of the city.

An estimated €7,140 worth of the drug was seized by Gardaí, as well as two weighing scales of the kind used to measure and weigh quantities of drugs with the alleged intent to sell or supply.

The search on Tuesday (October 3) was carried out as part of an ongoing Garda operation in the city targeting the sale and supply of illegal substances.

One man was arrested and questioned as a result of the operation, according to a statement posted online by An Garda Síochána.

He was released pending a file to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
