Fine Art student Asha Murray recently became the first ever recipient of the TUS Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) Global Travel Award.

Worth €5,000, the prize aims at helping students develop their skills by allowing them to take part in international internships and further education opportunities.

The moving images artist from Shannon in County Clare says she hopes to use the award funding to enrol in a film course in Berlin with experimental filmmaker Rouzbeh Rashidi, as well as interning in galleries like the Tate Modern in London and Berlin’s Esther Schipper Gallery and KW Studios.
