Limerick publicans warned to secure kegs after attempted theft

PUBLICANS across Limerick city and county are warned to make sure that their kegs are securely stored.

This comes after a pub owner in the Pallasgreen area noticed a sound in his yard in the early morning.

When he looked outside, the publican saw a man attempting to steal a keg of beer from his store.

The owner ran outside and attempted to stop the would-be thief, who left the keg and fled in a black Opel Vectra.

Using CCTV, Gardaí were able to get the car’s number plate have since made an arrest.
