YOUNG debaters at Ard Scoil Mhuire in Corbally were talking a strong game during a visit to the school from Concern Worldwide chief executive David Regan.

The Concern head spoke to Ard Scoil Mhuire pupils about the art of debate and how it allows “people to unravel complex global issues”.

The Corbally school has been involved in Concern Schools Debates since the competition’s foundation almost 40 years ago.

During his visit, Mr Regan was presented with a cheque from pupils to go towards Concern’s work internationally.

He also made a visit to the Finucane Brother’s memorial bench at Barrington’s Pier.
