A NUMBER of blood donation clinics are taking place across the county this coming week.
The clinics, according to the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS), are to help relieve pressure on the national blood supply, which has “fallen to concerning levels”.
The IBTS said that hospital demand for blood “continues to rise month on month”, with 3,000 donations needed each week to meet current demand.
A donation clinic will take place at the Caherconlish Community Centre on Monday June 30 from 4.50pm to 8.10pm.
