Limerick family to battle it out for Ireland’s Fittest Family

The Kearns family from Limerick took part in the last season of Ireland's Fittest Family.

A LIMERICK family will join the ranks of Ireland’s Fittest Family this weekend when they vie for a shot at being the fittest in the country.

Limerick’s Kearns family will battle it out between families from Tipperary, Dublin, and Waterford for a place in the next round of the competition on Sunday (November 5).

Brothers Wayne, Gerard, and Alex will join mother Miriam in the challenge, with the family describing themselves “as crazy and each as competitive as the next”.

Wayne Kearns is fresh off winning a county hurling medal with Na Piarsaigh and will be looking to showcase his prowess.

The Kearns family are coached by retired jockey Nina Carberry, and are “more than up for the challenge”.
