AN IRISH language festival will take place in Limerick this weekend.

Conradh na Gaeilge Limerick will host Féile Sáirséal on November 18 and 19.

People will have the chance to immerse themselves in Limerick’s history and heritage by taking a walking tour of Limerick City’s walls, or learning about the 1690 Seige of Limerick with historian Brian Hodkinson followed by a tour of King John’s castle.

Traditional music sessions, a talk about Limerick’s place names, and a conversational Irish cafe will also form part of the festival’s itinerary.

More information on Féile Sáirséal can be found on Conradh na Gaeilge Limerick’s Facebook page.
