FINE Gael councillor Gregory Conway has called on Limerick City and County Council to provide a safer entrance to the industrial area known as Millmount, Kilmallock, across from GVM Marts.

Cllr Conway also wants the local authority to provide extra parking and yellow boxes for commercial vehicles operating locally to load and off-load their vehicles in a safer manner and to implement traffic restrictions in the form of ramps and new signage.

The Council told Cllr Conway that it will engage with the business owners and operators to gather information on the issues currently being experienced with the view to developing a proposal that provides a safer environment, while ensuring that the operational needs of the businesses are also accommodated.
