A MAN has been seriously injured following a road crash in the area of the County Limerick village of Banogue this morning.
Gardaí say the man has suffered serious injuries resulting from the two-car collision, which took place this morning.
A number of units from the Limerick Fire and Rescue service, as well as Gardaí, attended the scene, which has led to reports of heavy traffic in the area and motorists experiencing long delays. Further traffic delays in the area are expected across the morning.
According to Gardaí, the man was taken to University Hospital Limerick where he will be treated for serious injuries.
There were no other injuries reported from the incident.
