
A STATUS Yellow high temperature warning has been announced for Limerick, coming into effect tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday June 23) and lasting until Friday.
The Irish meterological serivce, Met Éireann, issued the warning this Monday morning, with temperatures in Limerick expected to reach as high as 29 degrees during the week.
The Status Yellow high temperature warning will come into place from 12pm on Tuesday afternoon and last until 9am on Friday morning.
The weather service also warned of minimum temperatues of around 15 degrees during nights.
Potential impacts during the hot weather warning, according to Met Éireann, may include water safety issues due to increased use of lakes and beaches, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, and heat stress.
The Status Yellow warning will be in place for the entire country for the duration.
