Limerick educational institutions to receive student cost of living supports

LIMERICK colleges and universities will soon receive significant funding from the Department of Further and Higher Education as announced in Budget 2024.

The Student Assistance Fund for students who are finding it hard to make ends meet will see significant of funding, with €17million being invested in 23 institutions nationally.

University of Limerick will receive €567,073, with an additional €516,042 being given for cost of living supports.

Meanwhile, Mary Immaculate College will get €194,549, with €173,741 in cost of living supports.

The Technological University of the Shannon will be given €575,988 to support their students, as well as an additional €527,979 to help with the cost of living.
