Limerick awash with colour as fundraising Light Up Limerick run returned

Vehicles of all kinds were light up on Sunday for the East Limerick Red Cross 'Light Up Limerick' run, including Limerick Post reporter Katie O'Donovan's Mazda Mx-5.

LIMERICK City was awash with colour and festive cheer this past Sunday (December 17) as cars, bikes, trucks, and tractors took to the streets for the annual East Limerick Red Cross ‘Light Up Limerick’ run.

Vehicles festooned with all sorts of Christmas lights took part, as well as members from the Red Cross, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, Limerick Civil Defence, and other local organisations flashing their blue lights to light up the city streets.

There were prizes presented for best car, tractor, truck, tractor, and trike presented on the night.
