Man arrested in connection with €100,000 drugs haul released without charge

A MAN who was arrested in connection with a €100,000 drugs and firearm seizure in Limerick earlier this week has been released without charge.

Gardaí seized over €100,000 worth of drugs, along with a sub-machine gun, and multiple rounds of ammunition during a search of a house and lands in the Ballysimon area on Monday (December 18).

Gardaí have now confirmed that the man in his 30s who was arrested in connection with the seizure has been released without charge.

A file will be prepared and sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Investigations are ongoing, a Garda spokesperson said.
