Limerick lady awarded for promoting sustainability at work

Limerick native Emily Kennedy was awarded the An Taisce Climate Ambassador Award.

A LIMERICK lady has been awarded with a Climate Ambassador Award.

Emily Kennedy was awarded the An Taisce Climate Ambassador Award last month for her work in promoting sustainability at PwC’s office in Dublin, where she’s currently based.

Emily became a Climate Ambassador in January, and joined fellow ambassadors at the Mary Robinson Climate Conference in July.

Her top climate actions included employee visits to the beehive to support PwC’s biodiversity goals, and organising a fashion upcycling workshop in PwC.

She also brought the Sustainable Life School to PwC, enrolling 68 colleagues and adding the themes of waste, fashion, energy, and food alongside the existing focus on biodiversity and travel.
