Gardaí appeal for public assistance in finding 73-year-old Limerick man

GARDAÍ have issued a public appeal for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of missing 73-year-old Athea man John McSweeney

John has been missing from his home in the west Limerick village since Saturday afternoon (January 6), a statement from An Garda Síochána said.

John is described as being approximately 5′ 7″ in height, of slim build, bald, and with a missing front tooth.

“When last seen, John was wearing a black coat, a black peaked cap, and wellington boots,” the Garda statement said.

Anyone with any information on John’s whereabouts is asked to contact Newcastle West Garda station on 069 20 650, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
