GARDAÍ have issued a public appeal for witnesses after a hit and run attack in Limerick City last Friday (January 5).

At around 7.30pm last Friday evening, a 22-year-old woman was sitting in the back of a parked car on Henry Street when two males on scrambler bikes pulled up to the car and struck her on her head with an object.

Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station, Sergeant Ber Leetch, said that “it is dark at 7.30, but this is a very busy street.

If you saw this assault please contact Gardaí in Henry Street on 061 212 400”.
