Limerick exit McGrath Cup

ALTHOUGH beaten, 1-11 to 0-10, Limerick showed improvement on their heavy opening round to Kerry in Sunday’s McGrath Cup outing with Tipperary in Templetuohy.

Tipp led 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval and the only goal arrived towards the close of the contest.

James Naughton knocked over five points for Limerick.

Kerry and Cork will now contest the final at the weekend.

The league opens for Limerick with a visit from Antrim to Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on January 28.
