A DOORBELL video recorder saved the day recently for a Corbally couple who might otherwise have been caught napping.

The pair were asleep when they received a notification on a mobile phone device linked to their doorbell that there was movement by their front door.

The man went downstairs to find three men in his house, who scarpered after being discovered.

Sergeant Ber Leetch, of Henry Street Garda Station, said that “the front door had been accidentally left unlocked, but the couple were lucky that they had the added layer of the doorbell video.”
