Timely winner for Team Byrnes at Navan

CHARLES Byrnes and his son Philip won the two and three-quarter-mil handicap hurdle with Aodhan May at Navan on Sunday (February 11).

The pair were out of luck with Blazing Khal in the earlier Grade 2 Boyne Hurdle.

A 16/1 chance, the eight-year-old Aodhan May, owned by Cora Byrnes, added to a win over fences at Wexford in March of last year when racing clear after the final hurdle to win by four lengths from the Katy Brown-trained Full Noise.
