A QUARTET of local players have been called up to the Ireland club squad ahead of next month’s international against Portugal in Lisbon.

Young Munster trio David Begley, Bailey Faloon, and Alan Kennedy, along with Garryowen captain Bryan Fitzgerald, have been chosen in the 37-person panel by coach Seán Skehan, previously at the helm with Garryowen.

Meanwhile in Division 1A of the AIL on Saturday, Shannon run up against Munster rivals Cork Constitution at Temple Hill and Young Munster host UCD at Tom Clifford Park.

In 1B, Garryowen entertain Naas at Dooradoyle.

All fixtures kick off at 2.30pm.
