SOCIAL Democrats councillor Elisa O’Donovan wanted to know if the Council is considering appointing a caretaker for the Baggott Estate/Portland Park, due to the increase in usage of the park locally.

Senior Engineer Aidan Finn said that the council has no plans for a full-time caretaker for Baggott Estate as numbers utilising the amenity are not sufficient to warrant a full-time presence.

“The council are monitoring the amenity from a maintenance perspective and undertake maintenance works accordingly.”

“The council will monitor numbers using the amenity going forward,” he added.
