Work progressing on county Limerick wastewater treatment plant

WORK is progressing on the development of a new wastewater treatment plant for Askeaton.

Under the Small Towns and Villages Programme, a new wastewater treatment plant will be constructed on a greenfield site to serve the town.

A preliminary business case for the project concluded in December.

Limerick Minister of State Niall Collins said: “We are happy to report that the provision of a new Wastewater Treatment infrastructure for Askeaton which will cater all existing connections and population and in addition the expected 10-year population growth is now progressing as a matter of top priority.”
