COMMUNITY groups from across Limerick city and county have been invited to apply for their share of the Community Climate Action Programme (CCAP).

Limerick City and County Council has been awarded €811,000 to give to green groups across the Treaty.

The programme will enable groups to take direct climate action through varied levels of funding to support a variety of projects, from small to larger projects, worth up to €100,000 over an 18-month period.

Mayor of Limerick City and County Gerald Mitchell said the programme “signifies a commitment to empowering our communities to help realise the vision of a greener, more resilient future”.

Applications are now open and can be made by contacting Limerick City and County Council’s Community Climate Action Office.
