A CHAIN of Limerick city cafés have closed their doors as the company that owns them has gone into voluntary liquidation.

Habit Coffee and Retail, which has three branches in the city centre, have closed their doors this Monday morning as the company that owns them has gone into voluntary liquidation.

Habit Coffee and Retail has branches on O’Connell Street, Catherine Street, and Lower Shannon Street in Limerick City, all of which remained closed this Monday.

The company also had a coffee truck based in Shannon Town.

Owner of Habit Coffee and Retail Barry Flavin also leased The Still House pub on Thomas Street, which was closed this Monday morning.

Informed sources have told the Limerick Post that the Still House pub will be reopening under new management in the coming days.

It’s understood that 22 jobs are impacted by the company’s decision to enter liquidation.
