Limerick charity shop appeals for people to donate, not discard old clothes

Enable Ireland are calling on the people of Limerick to donate their unwanted clothes, rather than binning them.

A LIMERICK charity shop is appealing for people to donate their old or unwanted clothes rather than binning them.

Enable Ireland’s ‘Don’t Discard, Donate!’ appeal is urging the people of Limerick to donate old or unwanted clothes to the charity’s Honan’s Quay store in Limerick City.

Enable says donations help to provide services to over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities nationwide.

As well as raising money for Enable Ireland’s services, donating pre-loved clothes also has a positive impact on the environment.

Oonagh O’Connor, commercial manager at Enable Ireland, said: “What may no longer have use for you, could be exactly what someone else is looking for.”
