AFTER a long enforced absence, Declan Hannon returns to captain Limerick for Saturday’s lunchtime National Hurling League outing with Galway at Pearse Park, 1.15pm.

In his first outing since last Summer’s epic Munster Final defeat of Clare at the Gaelic Grounds, Hannon has been chosen at centre-back, alongside Cathal O’Neill and Colin Coughlan.

Another returnee is Seán Finn, who has been named among the replacements.

Limerick are unbeaten in four starts this season, and a win here would assure the team of a semi-final berth the following weekend.

Limerick: Nickie Quaid; Fergal O’Connor, Mike Casey, Barry Nash; Cathal O’Neill, Declan Hannon, captain, Colin Coughlan; David Reidy, Barry Murphy; Shane O’Brien, Cian Lynch, Tom Morrissey; Aaron Gillane, Séamus Flanagan, Adam English.
