Limerick Young Scientist winner presents research to Leinster House

Limerick's BT Young Scientist winner Seán O'Sullivan brought his research on AI-generated texts to Leinster House.

LIMERICK’S BT Young Scientist winner and this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade grand marshal, Seán O’Sullivan, was in lofty company earlier this month when he visited Dublin’s Leinster House to present his innovative research in artificial intelligence and AI-generated texts to eagerly listening TDs and senators.

The clever Coláiste Chiaráin student was joined by other winners from the youth science expo for a conversation about how to solve real-life problems with science.

The sharp young minds shared ideas with the nation’s leaders about important changes for societal advancement.

A number of Limerick political figures were also in attendance for the cross-generation conversation with the scientific leaders of tomorrow, including local Fine Gael senator Maria Byrne and Independent TD Richard O’Donoghue.
