TWO community heritage projects in County Limerick have been awarded a combined total of €49,241 under the Heritage Council’s Community Heritage Grant Scheme, as part of a nationwide investment of more than €2million supporting 127 projects across Ireland.
In County Limerick, the funded projects are St John’s Cathedral’s “Pipe Organ Restoration (Stage 2, Replacement on the Blower)”, which has been awarded €24,241, and The Hunt Museum’s “Making Scents of the Collection”, which has been awarded €25,000.
All funded projects are required to host an in-person event during National Heritage Week (August 15-23) providing an opportunity to showcase their work and engage directly with the public.
