Almost 3,000 Limerick homes now able to access fibre broadband

Almost 3,000 homes in Limerick can now access high-speed fibre broadband.

ALMOST 3,000 homes in County Limerick will now be able to access fibre broadband after National Broadband Ireland (NBI) announced that new fibre connections have been installed.

2,809 homes in the Hospital area can now get high-speed fibre broadband.

People living in the area can check if they are eligible for fibre broadband by entering their Eircode on the NBI website (NBI.ie).

So far across Limerick, 9,850 premises can avail of high-speed fibre internet, with 3,274 connections made so far.

Peter Hendrick, NBI CEO, said: “Almost 10,000 homes, businesses, and farms in County Limerick can now order a high-speed fibre connection to the National Broadband Ireland network.”
