LIMERICK City and County Council’s Environmental Awareness Officer is calling on schools, homes, and businesses to intensify efforts in reducing, reusing, and recycling waste.

According to accredited studies, 65 per cent of all collected municipal waste ends up in general waste bins.

Environmental Awareness Officer at Limerick City and County Council Helen Kenneally said: “We all need to intensify our efforts. Continue to use the three bin waste system for dry recycling, organic, and landfill waste.

“This is available on our doorsteps from authorised waste collectors.”
