130 Voices will perform Verdi Requiem this Saturday night

Limerick Choral Union (LCU) is an oratorio, community choir based in the heart of Limerick City.  Its aim is to make choral singing enjoyable and rewarding for the singers and audience alike.

As part of their ongoing 60th anniversary celebrations LCU will be performing Verdi Requiem on this Saturday April 20 in University Concert Hall.

The LCU with over one hundred and thirty singers will perform Verdi Requiem with soloists on the night to include Limerick’s own Sarah-Ellen Murphy, Alto, Rachel Croash, soprano,  Dean Power, tenor and Gheorghe Palcu, bass.

Under the Baton of Mr. Malcolm Green, the choir will be accompanied by the LCU Orchestra of over 40 musicians from across Ireland.

Verdi Requiem is one of the most dramatic, and undoubtedly the most operatic work of its type!
