Limerick student debaters to go head to head in Concern Debates final

STUDENT debaters from Hazelwood College in Dromcollogher will go head to head with their counterparts from Ursuline Secondary School in Thurles, County Tipperary, in the final stage of the Concern Debates.

The Limerick debaters will look to come out on top from a mass of 177 teams who took part in this year’s competition.

The final will take place on May 2 at Dublin’s Helix Theatre with the topic set as ‘Achieving world piece is the defining task of the 21st century’.

Students representing Hazelwood College are Aisling O’Connor, Amy O’Gorman, Regina Burke, and Lucy O’Gorman, under the tutelage teacher Catherine Shanahan.
