Q-PARK has announced the grand opening of its newly revamped Cornmarket Square Car Park in Limerick City Centre, marking the third addition to its Limerick portfolio.

With 491 parking spaces, the location further solidifies Q-Park‘s commitment to providing top-notch parking solutions for both regular patrons and newcomers to the city.

Known for its exceptional service, a spokesperson for the company said, Q-Park has been a staple in Limerick, operating two other popular facilities—Q-Park Harvey’s Quay, a sprawling space by the River Shannon, and Q-Park Henry Street, favoured by commuters.

The Cornmarket Square Car Park, acquired by Q-Park in 2023 after 18 months of closure, underwent extensive refurbishment to meet Q-Park’s high standards. Structural repairs, LED lighting, clear signage, and enhanced security measures were implemented, including the PaSS Automatic Number Plate Recognition system for seamless access.

In addition to convenience, Q-Park prioritises sustainability, evident in the installation of seven electric vehicle charging points, with more to come.

“This expansion not only broadens Q-Park’s reach but also enhances accessibility to Limerick’s iconic Milk Market and other attractions”, Adam Bidder, managing director of Q-Park UK said Ireland, expressing excitement about the expansion and affirming Q-Park’s dedication to quality service and readiness to collaborate with property owners to add value.
