Limerick sporting legend encourages children of the Treaty to get active

Limerick rugby legend Paul O'Connell is encouraging children across Limerick to get active.

LIMERICK sporting legend Paul O’Connell teamed up with children’s charity Barnardos and ALDI to encourage children across Limerick to get active.

Over 700 students across Limerick are already taking part in this year’s Barnardo’s Big Active programme, which encourages students of all ages to focus on their health and wellbeing while helping others across a series of challenges and activities.

“Looking after our wellbeing is so important. For me, I like to spend time with my family, go for a long walk, cook a meal, or play a game of golf with friends,” said O’Connell of the many ways of keeping active and healthy.
