Gardaí investigating assault on woman at Limerick student accommodation

The alleged assault took place at the Kilmurray Village student accommodation on the University of Limerick's Castletroy campus.

GARDAÍ are investigating after a young woman in her 20s was assaulted at her student accommodation in Limerick this past Wednesday (May 8).

It is understood that the woman was assaulted while at her accommodation in the Kilmurray Village accommodation block at the University of Limerick.

A Garda spokesman told the Limerick Post that the incident occurred at around 4.15pm on Wednesday evening, in which the woman sustained non-life threatening injuries during the course of the assault.

The woman was taken to University Hospital Limerick for the treatment of her injuries.

Gardaí confirmed to the Limerick Post that they are investigating the incident, saying that “no arrests have been made” so far and investigations into the violent incident are currently ongoing.
